difference between part time and full time job?
Asked by Khanh C
I'm 15 and am looking at this job which works 15 hours a week on Tues, Thurs, and weekends. If I can work all of that, is that full time or part time?

A full time job is one in which you work 40 hours a week or more. These jobs are typically held by adults who are available all week long. These jobs are also characterized by the fact that they offer benefits such as health insurance and retirement plans. Part time jobs are jobs in which you work less than 40 hours a week. Typically these jobs are held by people who are in school, or teenagers. They on't come with benefits and are usually much more easily put into someones schedule. The job that you are talking about is a part time job. working 15 hours per week is something that could be done by someone in school and would give you good wrk experience. Good Luck!

Full time is 40 hours per week. Usually 5 eight hour days. Part time- is anything less than 40 hours. Usually 20 hours/week.
