It all depends what you want to do and what the potential for moving up is. If this is a temp position, then you'd be crazy for taking a lower salary. If this is your career, on the other hand, then you need to look at the potential for advancement. The cashier job pays more, but will you be promoted in the future? Will you make more? What about the clerk job?

Depends on what you want to do and if you will be bored. Long term, will the other raise more quickly in pay and make it worth it or will it always pay less? Ask them some questions along that general area to help you decide.
