CAREER ADVICE : Whirlpool or Maruti..???
Asked by vikks
hi every1
i'm vikram singh
i just finished my graduation with B.E in production/manufacturing engineering from PEC, chandigarh
actually, i've been placed at Whirlpool and Maruti suzuki India ltd.
ppl are saying that maruti is a gud company, but with no satisfactory reasoning
i believe , maruti though a leading car manufacturer here in India, is still a local comapny, with no global presence..!
on the other hand whirpool is a big american MNC
Whirlpool Corporation is a Fortune 500 company and a global manufacturer and marketer of major home appliances, with annual sales of approximately $18 billion, more than 73,000 employees, and more than 70 manufacturing and technology research centers around the world
but still ppl say, try 4 maruti try 4 maruti, just coz it is more popular over here..
the pay pakage and other benefits, that is being offerd to me is almost exactly the same in both companies.
i am very confused right now, regarding which company to join,
kindly guide..

If i was you i would go with Whirlpool.....that are very big then Maruti...and if you have lots of potenstiol you can grow big whirlpool...they just bought MAYTAG...america's oldest and largets company...and they are also global..you can moved around....and they are not gone be going out of busniess any time soon. Maruti on other hand is only in india...and with lots of ploictis you how india is....also maruti is in india only maybe somone companie might buy out them one day...and change the mamgment and evrything......
Think about the pors and cons off both side...wish you best of luck...good luck..
P.S - i work for whirlpool.

I think you have to listen to your heart, not the people what they say. If benefits are same then you can choose whirlpool or maruty, it doesn't make any difference where you work then.
