Dental Office Receptionist Experience?
Asked by *Monika F
I've been a waitress for two years now, and before that i worked as a cashier but now I'm looking for a different job. Its summer time and i want a full time job, (Im goin to be a senior next year but i am 18 yrs old) maybe in a bank or as a front desk/receptionist in a dental office because it would help me learn more about dentistry, which i want to study in college, but most jobs need experience. How and where am i 'post to get that experience when every dental office in florida needs experienced front desk ppl. ??? Any help ???

Your still young and have lots of time to study up on just what that job entails. Find somebody in an office, surely you know a dentist, and strike up a conversation with the receptionist (as casualy as possible) and start asking questions. The more interested you are the better answers you will get. Bless you.

I agree with Elmo send out some resumes with a cover letter. Let the offices know that you would love to volunteer or do an internship. They get a free employee and you get experience and possibly a good reference if your not offered a job. But also I am a RDA. When I went to school I learned both front and back office. Then when I went on interviews they would say well you don't have any front office experience. Well it's a catch 22 how do you get experience when know one will give you a chance. Good Luck!!
