Has anyone here gone from working part time to full time (mums)? How was it?

My girls are nearly 11 and 8. I was planning to wait until they're at secondary school before working full time, but having had my hours reduced (property industry....ok, ok estate agent), I'm finding it difficult to find alternative well-paid part time work - so am contemplating going back full time and back to my old career pre children in marketing and PR. What's been your experience? How did you/the children cope?

I went back to work when my kids were older. But I also worked from home to supplement my income. I am looking to go full time from home, and would love to share with you what I am doing.
