Most HR managers do what the title suggests they manager the Human Resources Hiring (including interviews) Firing Explain Benefits Packages Track employee records (including vacation time, disciplinary actions, additional training information) Supervise or do Payroll Conduct Annual Reviews The person staff goes to with problems in the workplan File Government required forms Basically anthing that deals directly with Staff.

They help find the right people for open positions within their company. After the have employees, the HR Manager works to make sure employee retention is high by analyzing the day to day operations. Other things like making sure the company standards are always met may be another aspect of the position. They may also take on some general office duties.

manage humans :P j/k - in a sense....manage the personnel office in a company. Might be responsible for some areas of payroll, training, hiring, firing either directly or over those who do.
