How often do think a salaried manager should reasonably expect a raise?
Asked by Justin H
I'm just looking for opinions here. I'm a salaried general manager and I put in anywhere from 50-70 hours per week. I am responsible for all aspects of the daily operations of the business. How frequently do you think I should reasonably expect a raise and what percentage increase would you say is reasonable when I do receive a raise?

Best Answer:
Most raises are annually and are based on your performance and the performance of the business. Typically 2.5% to 5%, based on your performance and a bonus if the business is doing well. Being a General Manager you would have discussed this with the owner beforehand. I've had 25 years with Marriott and worked all aspects of the business including Asst. GM and this was always the way. I hope this helps.
