Is an admin position a good starting point for someone who wants to become a financial analyst?

I have a bachelor's degree in economics and I have the chance to become an administrative assistant at a large bank. Im worried that becoming an admin might type cast me for only administration work. Is it a good idea to take the position or hold out for something better?

i think it sounds like a great stepping stone for you, you would be surprised the kind of work you get to experiment with as an admin.
