Career Questions and Answers

How do I start my career with a misdemeanor assault on my criminal record?
Asked by Tommy
Over the years i've made mistakes in life. Last year I made the mistake of kicking a police officer in the leg while being arrested.(too many personal problems & drinks in my system). Anyway I pled guilty and got 2 years probation 1st comviction. But now it's seems impossible to get my career started. I've been to school for Industrial maintenance mechanics and i've always been a pretty good mechanic and person. I want go back to school for engineering asap but I need to work to take care of myself and child. I also have to work to make money to be able to pay for school. I'm not a bad guy I just made a bad mistake. & in honesty if I would have had more money to invest in my defence it would have more than likely gotten dropped to resisting arrest. But I can't dwell on what couldv'e or shouldv'e happen in tha past. Instead i'm tring to focus on what to do now to get my life back on track for me and my baby girls sake. Can someone give me a little direction on what 2 do & how?

keep your nose clean, from this point forward. try to make it sound likeit was a misunderstanding in your interviews, but admit to mistkakes and tell them that you need a job to support your family.
