How can I get a line cook job at Olive Garden?

I recently applied for a job for a line cook at Olive Garden, however I have no experience. What can I do to increase my chance of getting the job. I don't want to look like a fool when I talk to the manager and tell him I have no experience at a restaurant. Thanks

As a restaurant manager I will tell you it is hard to get in with no experience, How old are you? You could first tell him why you want to get into the culinary arts then continue to tell him about any skills that you think will be beneficial to the restaurant also tell him how willing you are to learn. You may have to start out in a lower position like a busser or a dish washer to prove your dedication to the restaurant. I love the Restaurant business I have been in it for 10 years I hope you get in Good luck :-)
