I'm trying to bulid Accounting Experience, how would a job doing collections look on my resume?

In additon to several websites I'm using 5 different staffing agencies. One of the called me on Friday with 2 job prospects. One of them is primarily making collection calls, the other one is a Billing position. I have zero accounting experience right now, I just finished up my AS in accounting and I'm looking to build my resume while I finish up my BS at night. Which job looks better on a resume?

My 2 cents. Go straight to Billing position. You can learn a lot from it, from making, reconciling invoices, follow up on payments, making account statement, payment negotiation etc up to later on analysis of sales & it can go further. I started in billing & I'm in top finance position now.

In my opinion since you have zero accounting experience right now I suggest you start in primarily making collection calls. but the last decision is still yours to decide.
