what do i need to ba a dental assistant?

I found a very reasonalbe school but im not sure if it is worth it. Does the school need to be certified in something for me to qualify as a real dental assistant? Or do i just need to the training? please help! lol im so lost!

it depends on your location. In California you can work in a dental office without any prior training as long as the dentist is willing to train you. School and licensing allows you to legally do more things. I would suggest that you look for a community college program, they are much cheaper than the "for profit" schools. I think they give you a better education as well. The typical training is 2 semesters, well worth it. good luck
