How much should I ask for an hour of babysitting two kids, 7 and 8 here in the Bay Area?

I am a teenager with only a year of experience of babysitting. I live in San Jose, and would be working 4 hours a day to babysit. Is $ 9.00 ok? Too high or low?

If you only have to watch the kids, and play games with them, it might be too high. If you have to fix a meal or snack, or bathe them and put them to bed, ask for $9.00, but tell the parents you would like to be considered for a raise in six months.
