Store Manager?
Asked by Meg5500
I'm considering taking a job as a store manager but I'm wondering what type of salary they make and if you are given any benefits. The companies I am looking at are Pottery Barn and Ann Taylor Loft. Thanks so much for any information you have on this!

This can vary from job to job, but the first thing that you'll want to do is see if it is a salaried position. If that is the case, you will be guaranteed full-time hours and most certainly have benefits. The manager at the retail store I am at works a lot of hours (sometimes upwards of 50 per week) but makes a pretty good salary for retail that I would estimate around $35-40,000/yr with benefits. Be sure to check with each store, because it could be different.
