Should I pay for BOSIET training before applying for an oil rig job or will a potential employer pay the cost.
Asked by bobcatg7
I am considering trying to get a job on an offshore oil rig. I have been in construction for 10 years but don't know what certifications are required for the oil industry. I would like to apply as a roustabout or electricians trainee but would like to be prepared best as possible before sending in applications.Any help would be appreciated.

Most employers will pay for the training. Companies like Parker will hire roustabouts and pay all costs.
