20-30 grand a year. not a real good job, but it'l pay some bills

It depends upon the location (city), the type of data entry (medical data entry pays more), the hours (sometimes, graveyard shift data entry pays more), and any specialized requirements (legal data entry, sales, etc.). I would say, generally speaking... they would probably make a few dollars over minimum wage, per hour. This depends again, upon your location and the requirements of the data entry. Look at temp agency or employment agency placement posts in your region to find out more.
