Just dont go into your new job shouting the orders... you will get training from the managers for sure, so you just need to be disciplined, be professional and dont be EFFING annoying to the customers, some people who work in clothes stores think they are the nuts. Treat customers well, ask them there names, have conversations with them and they will return - and when the do return they will seek your help... i always go to the same store, same people and i get satisfaction from being on first name terms, and often discounts. Good luck with your new job, i hope you're excited and hopefully get promotion! Well done!

i would think there will be an induction process to get you acquainted with your duties and role in the company. If this yr first such job there would be a training period, so do not worry too much.

If you got a Assistant Managers position then surley you should have some experience in fashion sales and management, If you dont then there obviously desperate to fill that position and all should have been explained in your interview what you duties are, if they didn't then not very professional at all but no doubt they will train you up.

It may be a famous brand clothes store but if they didn't pick up at the interview that you lied so they can't be very professional themselves!!! I would have thought that if they asked for references they'd be wondering why you didn't put down the employer with whom you had gained the necessary experience! I have no idea of the duties involved, but I admire your cheek and the fact that the employer hasn't checked you out, means more fool them! Good luck. You've obviously got plenty of initiative and I hope you get on well.
