Unfortunately, employers have a tendency to overlook you when you are trying to transition into another line of work. I am looking at Real Estate right now, and am enrolled for college in the fall, but as for now, I have no earthly idea of which direction to go into. I was a Property Manager, which afforded me a great deal of office skills, but so far, no luck! Any advice for someone who is trying to change her career path? The industry that I work in is very small, very demanding, and thankless. In short, you really have to love it to do it and do it well. I was good at what I did, and was promoted quite a few times, but I hated it for all of the slick tactics that owners and landlords use (i.e., raise rents, and decrease services). The higher I got in the industry, the more I began to despise it.
