Up to how much in tips can a waitress make if she works only on weekends?

How much can a waitress make if she works weekends.
If I don't get this better paying nurse aide job, I will have to take a second job and I'm thinking about being a waitress on the side.
I heard a waitresses income is based on tips.How much in tips can a waitress make?

It depends on the restaurant. I knew a girl who worked only weekends at a popular Denny's and she would make enough money to support herself and her 3 children. She worked 20 hours per day on Friday and Saturday.

It's impossible to answer this question- it would depend on many factors, such as where the restaurant is located, what the price range of the menu is, how often the tables are turned, and how good the waitress is.

depends on where she works. could be as little as 100 for the weekend or could be up in the 400 range... really depends on where and days or nights, nights typically make more btw.

I know you probably want a number, but the real answer is it depends on the restaurant. A Waffle House waitress will make much much less than a Cheescake Factory waitress. But you will not be able to get a job at Cheescake Factory with no past server experience.
I heard that on weekends, which is the best time to waitress, they make at least $100. Downside is that they are working on Friday and Saturday nights. Applebees, Olive Garden and Ruby Tuesday's will probably give you best tips (with no server experience, and I think the last two train...)

How much a waitor/waitress can make depends on many factors. Where he/she will be waiting and what type of clientele go there makes up a majority of that. Also, experience (or general ability to pick up the processes and pace of the restaurant/bar in a quick manner) and the individual's personality and style are huge factors. If a server is a friendly, upbeat person they will make alot more than someone who doesn't come across as being very interested in the patrons. But you have to find a happy medium, don't be one of those annoying servers who hovers over the table every 2 minutes and is constantly asking "do you need anything?" or interrupting conversation. It's all about being attentive and showing that attentiveness in the appropriate moments and you can make great money!!
