Getting a bank teller job in southern california is hard because...?
Asked by Gea
Ive made a great resume, and I've filled out many online applications and I have not gotten one single call from a bank. I have 2 years cash handling experience and I have 2 years of customer service, I exceed the requirements! The only thing that kills me is that im not bilingual, I feel I am not gettin the job because I am not hispanic, at the end of the application it says to note your race and the damn thing says NOT hispanic or of the latino origin or some bs. And in southern cali, the hispanic population is huge and I dont have any time to learn the language, is this bs or is this bs!?
I know at the end of the app, it says its not determined by race, but I know that full of $hit. They want people who speak english and spanish.
where is your link with the banks failing and the stuff about Cali? I'd love to read about it.
And btw, they should learn our language it is the USA.

Yeah, I hear you. I applied for this job that I was qualified for. I guess I'm perfect for it for all the other qualifications but I need to be bilingual (not stated in job ad). I'm not so I probably won't get it. Crud.

No it is not bs you need to start watching CNN and find out whats going on in world banks are having problems Are you not aware of this by now? About 150 banks are determined to fail within a year (fyi) many people are leaving Ca to find better jobs in other states to have some what of a better living Ca is catching it right now and things will get worse with the Mortgage and Fires Ca may just be the first state in America to become third world in America. Knowledge is power never say that you don't have time to learn anything new hispanics are here to stay so open your mind and learn something new or find out in the near future that that mindset has handicaped your ability to work with diversity (A mind is a terrible thing to waste)
