Can a 16 year old work in a medical office or pharmacy?

I want to be a pharmacist when I am older, but I just want to get used to the environment. Is there any job I can get in a medical office or pharmacy at the age of 16?

Many medical offices use occasional teen staffers, with some interest in the field to assist with general duties around the clinic. This is less common is pharmacies, but retail pharmacies, such as Walgreens will have positions for teens working in a stocking and other general duties situation. You would not be able to become certified as a Pharmacy Technician until you were 18. Most hospital have volunteer positions, as well, but few hire anyone under 18 due to health, saftey and liability issues.

No. You must be at least 18 so that you have iability over yourself. You wil also need clinical training and probably sponsorship from a college program also. The only other places you can get early experience directly is outside the US. Other than that, try getting a Cashier or stockboy job with CVS and buddy up with the pharmacists

yes -apply to open jobs. consider volunteering at a local hospital, get your CPR certification, and find a mentor.

You could probably volunteer in a hospital pharmacy. I did that at 15. Whether or not you can work in a pharmacy would depend on the state. In my state, yes, you could work as a pharm tech.
