What is a stronger major in a business environment, english or journalism?

I'm currently double majoring in journalism and broadcasting. However, I was wondering whether in a business type of environment for an entry level job would someone who has studied english or journalism be considered a better candidate? This would be under circumstances that it wasn't a media type job (although my intention is to one day do that) just a normal business workplace. Thank you.

Mostly you would have to take some classes in business management. This is a very competitive career. You would also want to have a minor in some area, like accounting, leadership, operations or organizational structure.

English and Journalism are great for teaching professions and legal. Business majors are key for business jobs. If you take business degrees you will be assigned many research papers that will give you insight into how business functions. Second and most importantly business writing is totally different from literature, it is straight and to the point and evokes little to no emotion where is journalism/english is descriptive and artistic. Professionals in the field of business would think you are a nut if you are submitting reports in MLA format, they will be like Ms. stop writing me stories I need facts!!! Stop giving me appetizers I need the main course darn it LOL
