With a Business Office Administration degree can I expect to find a job quickly and that pays well?

I'm planning on enrolling on UEI's Business Office Administration 8 month certificate program and would like to know if it's a good idea? I need a career fast.

As a recruiter and advanced office administrator, I am wondering what this course is costing you???
If it's free or a community college which is fairly cheap, then go for it. It will give you something to build on, such as your BS in business admin etc.
Otherwise, I would go to the local community college and take the entry-level office assistant progam and work forward from there, taking a couple classes at night each semester to advance your skills and resume.
Good luck,

You'll find a job right away! Those jobs are always in high demand...but, unfortunately there aren't many business administration positions that pay very well. If you could go for an MBA and apply for an executive position, pay is a little bit better right off the bat. If you really want erious pay for work in that field, experience really pays off, experience, persistence, and diligence will land you the best paid positions. The best paying Business administration job I landed was an office coordinator/ executive assistant position for an engineering firm in Charleston, SC, my salary barely paid for my mortgage - starting out i was making $14.50/hr and my end salary was $45k a year, not bad for a 21 y/o- but not the money I wanted......I left there and took on a career in real estate, where I make much more.

Everyone want a career fast but that's not always the best route to take. Better to get all the knowledge you need first. sometimes it is best to go to college. Take the advise of the other answerer and enroll in a community college. Good Luck!

A lot of job openings? YES! If it pays well? Mostly not unless you have an MBA.
It is good to make this as a stepping stone to getting a college degree in Business Office Management. Your initial jobs will just keep you going from day to day. In two to four years, your MBA will bring better options for a higher paying job. Stay off from small companies and make sure you impress those top-ranked officers who may offer you a better position in their multi-national company.
On the sideline, try to establish a business of your own and build it slowly but surely until it is strong enough to support you when your employment time is up.

Good idea. I did it many years ago....only then it took 9 months. The best part was when we finished, the school found a job for the ones of us that requested the assistance.
