Good questions to ask after an interview for an admissions counselor position?
Asked by yellowhummin217
I'm applying to a certain university for an admissions counselor position, and right now I'm doing my homework, trying to learn about the university and its admissions process. Are there any good questions I should ask when the interviewer inevitably gives me the opportunity to?

Yes, and this one will really throw them off guard. At the end of the interview, IF they ask you if you have any questions, ask them: "How do you feel my chances are at obtaining this job?", or something along those lines. You can change the question to make it more "soft", but keep it opened-ended. This really catches them off guard, but it will give you an idea of what they think of you. Also, you need to SELL YOURSELF at the interview! Make them want you!

One question I like to know is why is the position available? If the person interviewing you is going to be your boss ask about their background with the organization that make them a success in the position (people love to talk about themselves). Ask if you can see where you will be working.. Ask about the culture of the University or the organization.
