Anyone know how I can get a job as one of those telephone "technical support" people?

Every electronic business has a phone number where people call to get technical support, and I want to be one of those people who helps people. But I never see any way to apply as one.

Tech support people get jobs in several ways. 1. They answer want ads online or in newspapers. 2. friends who already are tech support tell them about new openings 3. They spot posted notices in colleges and answer them 4. they belong to professional groups that circulate job openings 5. they contact the electronic businesses through their websites,most of which post info on how to apply for a job 7. they check through their owners manuals for phone numbers and online sites -- not technical support sites, but general corporate sites. 8.they check out the trade journals -- not the newstand magazines -- where electronic businesses run ads for employees. The trade journals can be found in libraries or online.
