What is it liek being a PURCHASING MANAGER?

Hey im a 15 year old girl in high school and im thinking abot becoming a purchasing manager one day. I just had a few questions: is it really hard? What things should i know about it before i think about entering that occupation?

- A lot of purchasing is done with computer programs today, and it is a very needed field for many companies.
- Negotiating is a big part of purchasing, and also making contracts.
- A four-year degree would be the best, but even a two-year degree could get you started. There are operations courses in business schools that lead to a purchasing (usually called supply management) degree.
- Take math, any business courses including accounting in school. Shadow a purchasing professional if you can.
