When an employer asks you what do your friends think is your worst quality what should you say?
Asked by änna
An person who is thinking of hiring me as a full time babysitter asked me that. My friends would probably say that my worst quality is that I am very sensitive, would the employer see me as being weak, immature or incapable because of that? How should this question be answered?

I think the employer might see you as "sensitive" where you take things very personal and make big deals out of little things.
I can also see why she could see you as weak or immature because the word sensitive brings to mind children. If you are going to be taking care of children the parents want you to act mature and adult like.
I would say "my friends think that I am uptight because I always follow the rules" or something like "I always express my feelings and my friends find that annoying". This way it does not sound like you really have a bad quality just your friends think you do.

Tell them that your friends think you are to generous.

This type of question is usually used to test your self-awareness. Not just how you see yourself, but how you think others see you. So, if there's something that you know you're bad at, or could use work on, say that.
HOWEVER, make sure that this is a quality that you could turn into a positive. For instance, if your friends would see you as sensitive, it allows you to be in tune with the children you're babysitting, understand their feelings, and be able to make them feel better. That's turning it into something that can make you good at your job.
Best of luck!

extreme sensitivity is not always good. when the employer asks these types of questions it is better to say something which will indirectly indicate a good habit or create a good impression on you.
you may say i can't compromise with the untrue.
If the employer tell u to explain that how it is the worst side then u may say in our day-to-day life & in case of business sometimes untrue statements are needed but i can't compromise with it.
