How old do you need to be to be a line chef at Applebee's

I am 17 and looking for a job cooking somewhere. So if anyone has worked at Applebees how old do you need to be to be a line chef.

I think it's 18 for Applebee's. It sucks though. I worked for them for six months and hated it. They send people home all the time when it gets slow.
You would do better at a McD's or Wendy's. I think Applebees pays $8/hour and you bust your butt. McD's or Wendy's is EASY. You will do better on a resume with Wendy's down the road since they don't expect you to stick around. You can always get enough hours at McD's since people are calling in all the time.
And there are no chefs at Applebees unless pushing a button on a microwave makes you a chef. They grill some things but it's not real cooking. Applebee's gave us $8 credit for food everyday and Wendy's gave 50 percent discount.

Many of the casual dining resturaunts hire line cooks at 18 but will hire dishroom staff at 16.
