What kind of government jobs can I get with a BA in Psychology?
Asked by PlayDaily
I am planning on getting my BA in Psychology and I was wondering what kind of government jobs can I apply for that would appreciate this degree? If you have any other job suggestions please let me know. Are there any government jobs or other jobs that require any type of Bachelor's degree in order to qualify?

Best Answer:
There isn't a lot you can do with a BA in psychology. You'll need an advanced degree like a Master's if you want to do counseling. With a bachelor's degree you could work as a psych tech in a hospital with a behavioral health unit.

You need a master's degree as a minimum to work as a psychologist anyplace. (apa.org for more info) usajobs.gov (all federal gov jobs....go through them so you can see what the government is looking for at the fed level). Right now technology skill is highly in demand, and foreign language specialists. (former US Fed/DC/ psych prof)
