How do I find Radiology Tech hospital-based certificate programs?
Asked by af
I've seen a couple posters mention these via links, but are they really that common? I saw only 1 program listed for Massachusetts with tution at over $30,000 per year. And Massachusetts has TONS of top tier hospitals. I already have my BA in another subject, so I would prefer not to get an Associates degree if I do not have to. Ew yeah an associates program seems quicker and easier. I could probably get credit for the liberal arts classes I already have too.

There are quite a few across the country, but unfortunately not in Massachusetts. I can't believe it's that much money - I wonder if it's a typo? I live in Michigan. We have 7 hospital programs (I graduated from one 3 years ago ($2200 TOTAL). You will either need to go to another state or get the associates - with your previous schooling, it should be the same amount of time as a certificate anyway.

There aren't many left. Look here: http://www.jrcert.org/cert/Search.jsp You may also need to take some science and math courses before being considered. I was looking into this for myself if I couldn't find any nuclear medicine jobs when I graduated with my BS. You would probably be starting from scratch. Good luck.
