I am looking for a job as a help desk/tech support/customer service position. ihave been looking but no luck?

i have experience as a Call center rep taking calls for companies like verizon, sears, citibank. Also have IT internship experience as a PC tech were i worked in providing tech support/troubleshooting hardware/software problems, also worked on building servers

thats a bad job, all you do is sit, you will get a bad back and get sickly and weak. you should get a manual labor job and be healthy

So what is the question here? Are you looking in all possible companies or just technology companies or phone companies?
Why not try a Temporary Agency with potential to be hired Permanent if you & the company are a good match.
Employment Agencies are a good place to get in with companies. Although I don't think many are hiring right now. Good Luck.
