How would you become a veterinary insurance advisor?

Do you have to have veterinary experience to do it? What is the salary like? Sorry lots of questions!

I would call the companies that sell this kind of insurance or call a vets office & see who they talk to now. I used to sell auto & home insurance. You have to get to the root & find out who hires people to do this. If you find an insurance company who sells this kind of an insurance they can tell you what you need to fill requirements & they may hire you & pay for your schooling. When I sold auto insurance I was hired by an agency. They paid for my training which was a few weeks I think. I had to go take a test somewhere & they paid for that. One of the people I worked with failed the test by 1 point. So the rule was the agency would pay for you to take it one time & after that you had to pay.

Most times they would like you to have some veterinary technician experience. I know many credentialled techs who also are insurance advisors on the side, The pay is better then tech pay in many areas. Call the company that you're interested in and ask about the requirements as all companies are different.
