What career is better an Electrician, or Welder?

I don't know what is better, i have seen both, and both are very appealing. What are the differences in pay, time to learn, etc. If you guys have experience in one or both, please share! Thanks!!

as a union electrician, 30 yrs +, i can rec school for outside elec/ inside elec. everyday is different(job, weather,people). this is a dangerous job, but also a mind/body challenge. look up in phone /BetterBusiness book for a hall that offers apprentship program or contact utility co. in your area abt a PSI training program through your college/university.
