What are the plusses and minuses of being a union worker?
Asked by Robby Lace
I work in an architectural millwork company as a junior draftsman. A lot of the workers in my company are union workers. If I am approached about the subject, I'd like to be informed so I know how to respond. I live in Rhode Island, if that is relevant.

Higher pay, better health benefits, pension, more job security, everybody gets paid the same so no competing against each other. Minus points; paying union dues, may have to travel for a job. Journeyman Wireman 17 years. Good luck..
