Probably not... Insurance Specialist sounds like they would responsible for verifying benefits, maybe initiating authorization, coordinating referrals, billing and/or collections maybe... Usually a lot of "front office" type work. Could also be heavy collections & fee schedule verification, etc. Medical billing is typically sending claims, following up on claims, appealing claims, collections, & sometimes coding... Usually, minimal face to face contact with patients. goodluck.
