What is a customer service rep? what do they do?

They are hiring customer service representitives for a company called Apac so i applied. all i know is that they are in high demand so ill get hired, paid training, and ill be taking calls. what do you do? do you work in a cubicle taking peoples calls all day? any information about what a customer service rep is would be appreciated!!

You'll be in a call center with lots of other people. Taking inbound calls all day and dealing with customer complaints, problems and accounts. Most likely you'll have a cubical or a pod where there is a small wall between you and the next person on the call center floor. I started out as a customer service rep at my job, but now I am a sales agent so I work out of my home. Customer service rep work kind of sucks.
