which is a better job? x ray tech or a heavy equipment operator?
Asked by gunner3874
I like both of these jobs and im really stuck in the middle. I like the heavy equipment because i like to play in the dirt and like to drive big things. I also liek the x ray tech because i like to work with people and i always liked getting x rays haha but i dont know which job is best for me. Can anyone help me?

The correct word is TECHNOLOGIST. Thank you :) X-ray techs have better job security and awesome benefits, not sure I can say that about driving heavy equipment. Also, not as dangerous for obvious reasons :)
I'm an x-ray tech.

I think they're both good jobs, but my vote would be x-ray technician. You'll get to help people more directly, if that's important to you. Heavy equipment jobs help people, obviously, but you don't see the direct results as much. I think you'll also have more chances to be constantly learning new things throughout your career as an x-ray technician. Hope that helps!
