What qualifications MUST you have to become an electrician, or an electrician's mate?
Asked by ★ʂʈar☆
My husband is moving to the UK and has equivalent of NVQ 1 /C&G 1, with some international experience. Is this enough to start working as an electrican's mate? After a few year's experience can he work as an electrician or must he become more qualified? If he needs to be more qualified can you suggest courses if possible?

I believe it's enough to work as an electricians mate but I think they need c&g level 3 nvq to be qualified as an electrician
