Has anyone ever taken a higher job position only to find out that they hate it in a short time?

I work in a hospital. I transferred out of housekeeping after a year and a half to be a health unit coordinator. I am starting to find out that the position isn't what I expected. There are certain rules that I hate such as, If a hurricane hits, we have to let our families leave us behind and volunteer to help out at the hospital. I am SOOOOO miserable. This is just my second day. Is it common to hate a job after two days?

Yes, I have and let me tell ya get out why you can I did the same thing and I regret it to this day I got stuck for a year, and went home in tears almost everyday.
