Job interview for part time job at grocery store, what kinds of questions should I expect to be asked?
Asked by Jay
Hi,
So I am 16 years old and this Saturday I have a job interview for a part time job at my local grocery store.
What kinds of questions can I excpect to be asked and how should I answer them? How should I act besides the obvious not being stupid and such? What are some things they might try to stump me with? How should I answer the questions, will certain ones be key?
Thanks for the help.

Dress neatly and simply, such as clean pressed white and black skirt/pants (depending on your gender). Try on what you're going to wear in advance - it really helps!
Look smart, new hair cut and smell professional.
Make sure you reach on time, it would be great to reach sometime early as appropriate.
Chill relax, be yourself and stay calm.
Have a clean and brief resume.
Let the interviewer shake your hand first.
Shake hands firmly (not to hard, not to soft). Introduce yourself in a clear voice.
First, act as if you are very interested in the position. Nothing is more of a turn-off than someone who has a "blah" attitude.
Sit but DON'T cross your legs, DON'T cross your arms.
Be Confident. Do not be nervous, just breath and answer truthfully, managers like to see how you look on a interview, and how
you speak.
Assume the person interviewing you is busy so ........

Just make sure you go over what kinds of stuff you do on your free time. Don't just list video games, and stuff like that. Tell them stuff that you do like read, sports, stuff like that.
Also maybe know something about the company. I've never been asked this, but if they are a big chain then find something about them on the internet, if not then just tell them what you like about the store.
Make sure you tell them you are in school still, and tell them what you want to be, if you know. Just make it up if you don't lol.
