I need a job title to use in my resume for my volunteer work at the front desk of a community center?

Something that sounds better than it actually is. The official title is "Information-Referral Volunteer" but that still just sounds like I have zero responsibilities.

It's better to stick with your official title in case the place you want to get hired at calls and talks to your supervisor.

There is nothing wrong with Information-Referral Volunteer, it sounds fine to me, as long as the job responsibilities are listed it won't sound like you have zero responsibilities. You could also list Volunteer or Administrative Assistant.

How about "Director of First Impression". That's the title we had for our front desk employee where I use to work. If you think about it... it makes sense! Sheila (your love life paramedic) www.slumberpartiesbysheila.com
