Hi, there - I've been a PetSmart associate for 2 years now - knowing much about all of the positions. I am a professional dog groomer now.
The Ops Manager is a challenging job requiring a lot of work. You will get paid by salary and depending on your state, you will get paid $36K-$46K.
This job will require you to work 10 hours shifts, 5 days a week, with one hour lunches each shift.
Your posistion is basically to make sure that EVERY department is up to par. You will do weekly "dog-walks" with the regional manager. A dog-walk is you, and the regional manager walking around the store and making sure everything is up to par. That's why you have to be on top of your game, or it's YOUR BUTT! :)
Basically - trying to make more money for the company. Making sure each department is completely presented in a professional manner. Also, up-selling, up-selling, up-selling! ...
It's a challenging job that can be stressful, so make sure that you can handle it!
