careers as a physical therapist assistant?
Asked by mead1973
Is there anyone out there who is a physical therapist assistant? I am considering a complete career change and I am looking at this program at my community college. If you are a pta please tell me how you like this job? What are the pro's & cons? What the pay is like? and what type of setting do you work in?

You can make six figure incomes in that role but generally it's an hourly job where you can make 30k-35k per year. If that's a lot to you then go for it. Otherwise, you should know that it's not recognized as a professional role so you'll always be pretty far down the totem pole. Better get the full certification to have a career rather than just a job.
