For transportation design do ihave to be industrial designer?

well, I'm a mechanical engineer , but i'm really keen to work on transportation design. I just wanted to know in order to get that job do I have to get industrial design degree or I can still do it with mechanical engineering degree?

that's terrific ,you are mechanical engineer & you have passion about transportation design...YES you need to take a degree in industrial design it's because study will add too much to you ,then you will be a unique transportation designer you know what's in & what's out ; ) - BUT - if you want to start so fast go ,take an industrial design course ,choose the best institute don't care about money design studying is elegant & needs passion & patience and of course a lot of imagination. if you are in north America CANADA is your destination. in Europe they are many Germany, France, Sweden .etc. don't hesitate go ahead & best of luck
