How can i free myself from manual labor?
Asked by tito
I've been working in warehouse production for awhile now and I'm tired of it. it's hard work. For 2 years now since i was 18. How can I start transitioning into clerical work? I mean there has to be another way instead of hard labor for a 20 year old.

A lot of clerical work doesn't take experience so if you look at the online job postings for your area or the local paper to see what jobs are out there that might interest you, you can create a resume using your experience that highlights skills needed in clerical work. You might also look into working for temp agencies that place people in clerical jobs to get some experience and references for this type of work.

Do you have clerical skills? How fast do you type? Do you use a 10-key calculator by touch? If you lack skills, you'll need to take some courses or work at home to learn them. What about a stint in the military? They will train you and you'll have great educational benefits when you get out.
