what can i do to be efficient working in night shift?

i have been working in a company where my schedule hours is on night shift 9pm to 6am. i've been trying to adjust myself to work effectively but i think i affect my production. does anyone has any i dea how can i cope this?

Working the night shift is horrible...I did it for 10 years. I would come home and go to sleep..making sure I had 8 hours of sleep. If you can't sleep during the day you will never make it on the night shift. It really screws your body up. It lowers your immune system so you catch more colds, you have no social life, you are apt to call in sick more often, and your productivity is diminished working nites. Maybe you should try to find another job with better hours.

I would get as much sleep as you can before you go to work. It takes a while to adjust to night shift and some ppl are never able to do it. Trust me this shift is not the best in the world and if your just doing it for the extra pay it you will soon realize its not worth it!

I couldn't cope with night shift .I had to find another job .. It was like I just couldn't get enough sleep and I never adjusted .
