roofers union??? anyway here in florida where it is extremely hard labor most roofers average 12-14 dollars an hour

I don't know by region, but the Roofers Union website says, "The wages and fringe benefits that union contractors provide to journeymen Roofers and Waterproofers can vary from area to area but generally average around $30.00 per hour. Apprentices earn a percentage of the journeyman rate over the three-year training period and usually start at 50-60% and progress to 100%. So you can earn while you learn!"
