Do truck drivers have flexibility as far as when they want to work since they are in demand?

I have a lawn business during the months of March thru September. Is it possible for me to be a truck driver when I'm not cutting lawns and still get good benefits out of it since there is a demand for them?
I would like to drive trucks between the months of October thru February.

no they do not. they are needed to deliver goods on time. they are needed for specific hours per trip. therefore, you dont have the opportunity to choose your hours.

It is possible barely. Will take a lot of searching though and you biggest set back will be not having experience.
Most companies that will hire new drivers will just have regular over the road jobs.
You will have to do a lot of communicating with people in your home to try and run across someone who knows someone who is in the position to help you.
Check your local newspaper for temporary agencies that hire on truck drivers. The challenge there again may be that they want a years experience.
I wouldn't just give up on the possibility, I been driving for 10 years, I know the possibilities exist. I know two guys know in NC that haul pine needles in state for a local company. He needed drivers and they need work. They discuss the schedule that suits their needs together.
So don't assume that opportunity doesn't exist. It does. Finding it will be the challenge. Go to your local truck stop and talk to as many drivers as you can, don't waste time ask the important questions first.
Are they local and will their company hire you for only part of the year
You never know who you will meet or who they will know that can help you. Good luck
