What is the Forestry career like?

I am interested in forestry and was wondering what being a forester is like. What is the daily routine? What are the pros? What are the cons? What is the outlook like? Thanks everyone!

most of the jobs would be working for the govt and range from planting and monitoring the growth of trees to working with contracting in the harvesting of these trees -- most all your time would be spend outdoors in some vary sparse areas!!!
