What is a good job description of a Math Instructor?

I am doing a pwrpnt on career analysis and we have to choose three careers and give descriptions on each and i cant find anything on math instructor preferably 4th grade and links would be great. The descrption needs to be like a 2 sentences summary of the job and its skills and goals

Well to start with in 4th grade most math teachers are teaching all the other subjects as well. In most states teachers don't start to specialize till 5th grade. However, any teacher has to write lesson plans which consist of what material/concept will be covered in a particular days lesson, and what goals the students should be able to accomplish after the lesson is given, and how to test and grade them on those goals/skills. A lesson plan needs to have very concrete goals, like being able to do the multiplication table from the 5 times to 10 times, or being able to draw fractions correctly on a circle. Then there is the set up part of teaching. You need to assemble the materials needed. This includes reviewing what part of the text book you will use, any charts that you will show the class, and any illustrations that you included in your lesson play can be drawn ahead of time on the board. Sometimes a picture or music can be incorporated to show that math has real life applications even. Oh yeah, and hand outs and tests need to be made up before the class!
